Wald Antriebe is an ISO 9001:2015 certified solution provider for commercial vehicle technology and industrial technology.

We specialize in our proprietary wiper and washing technology for commecial vehicles and railway trains, steering column switches and rocker switches by SWF (Valeo) as well as DC motors for industrial applications and commercial vehicles.

Our customers are the world’s leading manufacturers of railway trains, medium-sized manufacturers of buses, trucks, construction vehicles, cabins and agricultural vehicles as well as industrial companies operating in a wide range of sectors. In addition to automotive industry certificates (E1), many of our products also comply with the global standards governing fire protection on railway vehicles (EN 45 545-2). Our wiper motors for our railway customers also comply with the rigid EMC regulations of DIN EN 50121-3-2.

In addition to our proprietary product portfolio, we are the official distributor of Valeo, one of the world’s leading automotive industry suppliers and represent the SWF brand. In addition, we are a distributor and solution provider of Nidec, the largest electric motor manufacturer in the world.

Covering the whole range from customer-specific solution development to in-house prototype building and series production in one of our suppliers’ plants, we offer our customers a perfect “just in time” service from task definition up to and including ongoing volume deliveries.

EXPERTISE

Wald Antriebe accompanies customers from project conception to series production. We develop innovative and individual technical solutions, develop in 3D and integrate the latest digital control technology using our own software. In our in-house prototype shop we go through all production phases – from the basic design to the working technical prototype.

COMPANY HISTORY

1999: Wald Antriebe GmbH founded as commercial representative of industrial engines of Valeo (later Nidec)

2006: acquisition of Landmann GmbH (Hannover) that enlarged the commercial representation with Valeo wiper systems and Valeo switches and sensors

2009: acquisition of Hansa Export GmbH (Hamburg) that lead to greater internationalization of the customer environment

2016: takeover of the Southeast Asian Valeo activities of Georg-Grotjahn GmbH (Hamburg)

2017: enlargement of the distribution with the special motor manufacturer Kählig Antriebstechnik GmbH (KAG) and the Japanese engine manufacturer Shinano Kenshi

2018: partial EN 45 545 certification (the European standard governing fire protection on railway vehicles) of the wiper technology

2019: ISO 9001 (2015) certification

2020: ISO 14001 certification

2021: Inhouse production of wiper arms
